Job summary

The RN must hold an active RN license in Louisiana and BLS certification. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication, teaching skills, and the ability to manage time and resources effectively in a fast-paced ED setting.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse Diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current RN License in the state of practice.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Certification in clinical specialty area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses the Nursing Process to deliver patient care.
• Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies for patient and family.
• Communicates, delegates and manages nursing team resources within Interdisciplinary Team.
• Uses data to evaluate and promote changes for optimal outcomes.
• Supports patient care quality and staff morale; adheres to nursing standards.
