Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; Bachelors of Nursing preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications: Texas license or temporary/compact license; BLS; additional certifications may be required by unit.
- Experience/Knowledge/Skills: RN I <1 year, RN II 1-3 years, RN III 3-10 years, RN IV 10+ years.
Responsibilities
- Delivers safe and appropriate care to patients according to nursing skills and patient needs.
- Coordinates planning for nursing care with an interdisciplinary team and makes clinical decisions.
- Collaborates with and may delegate to the healthcare team to achieve outcomes based on data and standards.
- Develops discharge and transfer plans and participates in program evaluation and quality improvement.
- Ensures service excellence by adhering to Memorial Hermann policies and maintaining patient-centered care.
