Job summary

Lafayette Regional Health Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Room. You will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians and the care team.

Responsibilities include pain assessment, timely documentation, and patient/family education. You will support best-practice care and strive for excellent clinical outcomes in a community hospital setting.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required or obtained within 30 days of start date.
• RN licensure as a Registered Nurse in good standing.
• Diploma or degree in nursing required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain and manage analgesia with regular reassessments.
• Document care in the medical record promptly and accurately.
• Respond to patient requests and anticipate needs proactively.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, plans, medications, and follow-up.
• Coordinate with providers to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
