Job summary

Scotland Health Care System's Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg, NC is seeking an experienced RN for the Emergency Department. This full-time, 3rd-shift role requires current NC or Multistate RN licensure and CPR, with a preference for Emergency Medicine certification.

One year hospital ER or critical care experience is preferred. Training in TNCC, ENPC, PALS and ACLS within 3 months of hire is expected.

Qualifications

• Current NC or Multistate RN licensure and CPR are required.
• One year RN experience in a hospital setting, preferably ER or critical care.
• Preferred at hire: TNCC, ENPC, PALS, ACLS, and AEGIS De-Escalation Training within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Triage and ongoing assessments of physical and psychosocial problems in the ED with documented data.
• Administer medications (including IV fluids) per policy and ensure safety.
• Promote safety, maintain patient dignity and privacy.
• Communicate effectively with physicians and care team; ensure continuity of care.
• Advise and educate patients and families; utilize information systems.
• Assist in orientation and leadership within the department.
