Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides patient-centered care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality care based on clinical protocols and physician orders. The RN collaborates with healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care and positive outcomes, maintaining a supportive environment for patients and families.

Essential Functions

  • Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care according to policies and nursing process.
  • Conducts thorough patient assessments, documents findings, and reports changes.
  • Provides age-appropriate care and education, administers medications, and assists in procedures.
  • Collaborates on care plans, responds to emergencies, and advocates for patients.
  • Provides education on conditions and post-discharge care, and maintains infection control protocols.
  • Monitors equipment, promotes safety, and participates in audits and quality initiatives.
  • Documents care promptly, engages in professional development, and participates in performance improvement.

Specialized Roles

  • Critical Care RN: Manages complex equipment, performs advanced procedures, and administers IV therapies.
  • Emergency Services RN: Performs rapid assessments, emergency procedures, and stabilization interventions.
  • OR Services RN: Prepares patients for surgery, assists surgical teams, and monitors vital signs.
  • Cardiac Surgery RN: Monitors cardiac patients, manages life support equipment, and cares for post-op recovery.
  • Endoscopy RN: Prepares patients, assists during procedures, and provides post-procedure care.
  • Obstetrics RN: Educates, assesses, and supports patients through pregnancy, labor, and postpartum.
  • Oncology RN: Administers chemotherapy, manages side effects, and offers emotional support.
  • Orthopedics RN: Provides care for musculoskeletal conditions, pre/post-operative care, and patient education.
  • PACU RN: Monitors patients post-anesthesia, manages pain, and educates on recovery.

Qualifications

Licenses and Certifications
