Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern Virginia seeks experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurses (RNs) for Per Diem hospital assignments in Virginia. Choose shifts around your availability while benefiting from a local staffing team offering competitive pay and flexible scheduling, including daily pay options.

Must have active RN license, BLS/ACLS, and at least 2 years of ER experience. Shifts include day, evening, and night hours with coordination from our staffing team.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Flex scheduling ability to work varying shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients in an acute-care ER setting.
• Triage and prioritize patient needs.
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to changes.
• Coordinate care with physicians and other staff.
• Respond to emergencies and critical-care events.
• Complete assessments and proper documentation.
• Perform RN duties within facility requirements.

ER RN Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include:

• Assess and monitor patients in an acute-care emergency setting
• Triage and prioritize patient needs
• Administer medications and treatments
• Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition
• Coordinate care with physicians and other healthcare professionals
• Respond to emergency and critical-care situations
• Complete required assessments and documentation
• Perform additional RN duties within scope of practice and facility requirements

Requirements

• Active RN License
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute-care Emergency Room experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Ability to complete facility credentialing requirements
• Dependable and professional with a commitment to quality patient care
