Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department. This role offers hourly compensation and eligibility to participate in the State Retirement Program.

The position is an employee role with exposure to a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team across all shifts and patient populations. The role requires an Associate's Degree and at least one year of RN experience, along with SC RN licensure and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements: Associate's Degree, and a minimum of one year of work experience as a registered nurse.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care to patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
• Directs and leads other assigned team members and collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide age/developmentally appropriate care.
• Provide patient/family centered care using the nursing process, focusing on physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, religious, and environmental needs.
• Maintains a safe, therapeutic environment and ensures patient privacy and professional behavior.
• Coordinates effective and efficient delivery of patient care services and participates in professional governance and development.
