Job summary

Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA seeks an Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract starting 10/05/2026. Night shifts (12 hours) with 72 guaranteed hours biweekly, including every other weekend and some holidays, in a Level 1 Trauma Center ED.

The ideal candidate has at least 6 years of ER and triage experience, Epic experience, and MARN/BLS/ACLS certification. Onsite assignment at Lahey Burlington with a modern ED facility.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of ER triage experience; trauma experience required.
• Must be triage trained and have recent triage experience.
• Epic electronic medical record experience required; MA license needed; BLS/ACLS per AHA.

Responsibilities

• Provide ED care to trauma and emergency patients.
• Perform triage assessments and prioritize patient needs.
• Work 12-hour night shifts; 13-week contract; ensure bed availability and timely care.

Position Description: Contract Guarantee hours= 72 Hours Biweekly on all Assignments – these guaranteed hours do not include any on-call time worked

Comments And Notes: 13 or 26 week contract - TRIAGE ER RN NEEDED. 12H nights position, every other weekend and 2 holiday shifts. Excessive time off will not be considered, especially around the holidays.

Required: MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 6 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE TRIAGE ROLE - this is non negotiable. Level 1 trauma experience required. Must be triage trained. Current assignment, or very recent triage experience required. Epic experience required. BLS/ACLS AHA and MA license required.

As we continue to grow, we are seeking experienced and qualified nurses for our Emergency Department. The experienced and highly skilled nurses in the ED provide care to patients that have been in accidents or have medical emergencies that need immediate attention.

New spacious, state-of-the-art Emergency Department has: 44 beds in over 45,000 square feet Completely new entrances with a sun-filled reception area A convenient imaging suite Pharmacy Fast-track area Behavioral health suite Private treatment rooms Family waiting area and a family consultation room.

Lahey Hospital & Medical Center utilizes complete computerized charting (EPIC) for patient assessment and care documentation, and to electronically record medication administration for the delivery of all medications provided to their patients.

Must be separated from BILH for 6 months to be considered (perm, per diem, contract).
