Job summary

Creative Solutions Services, LLC is seeking an Emergency Room Registered Nurse for St. David's South Austin Medical Center in Austin, TX. This onsite, 13‑week contract runs the night shift (12 hours) with start date 10/12/2026, offering exposure to a high‑volume ED environment.

The ideal candidate will hold ED experience and certifications (ACLS, BLS, CPI, ENPC, TNCC, NIHSS) and demonstrate strong multitasking and teamwork in fast-paced trauma care.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, CPI, ENPC, TNCC and NIHSS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to high‑acuity patients.
• Assist with resuscitation, airway support, and rapid infuser use.
• Perform central monitoring and trauma assistance as needed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary ED staff in a fast-paced setting.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow ED protocols.

Unit Overview

• St. David's South Austin Emergency Department is a high-volume, multidisciplinary emergency services department with a total of 48 private rooms, 27 hallway stretchers, 9 fast-track spaces, and 5 behavioral health rooms.
• The department has approximately 111 staff members and provides care across emergency, cardiac, trauma, and behavioral health populations.

Staffing & Patient Ratios

• Charge RN + 11 RNs
• Additional mid-shift coverage at 9 AM, 11 AM, 1 PM, and 3 PM
• 2 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs)
• 1 Paramedic
• 1 LVN

• General ED: 1:4
• Behavioral Health: 1:5
• Cardiac/Trauma: 1:3

• Belmont rapid infusers
