Job summary

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Graduate of a professional nursing program approved by accrediting bodies provided by VA.
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license in a US state, territory, or DC.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent, evidence-based nursing care in the Emergency Department.
• Supervise and delegate basic nursing tasks to LPNs and UAPs.
• Assist in nursing education, orientation, and competency development.
• Deliver urgent and emergent care for acute medical, surgical, and psychiatric conditions.
• Engage in care coordination, health teaching, and patient advocacy.
