Job summary

Stat Emergency Center is seeking an experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide direct nursing care in an emergency department setting in Texas. The LVN will perform vitals, venipuncture, IV insertions, and EKGs on patients as needed, under RN supervision.

You will participate in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, handling admissions, discharges, and transfers, while ensuring privacy and safety.

Qualifications

• Texas LVN license is required.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Ability to read and follow simple instructions and documents.

Responsibilities

• Perform vitals, blood draws, IV insertions, and EKGs as indicated.
• Provide direct nursing care to assigned patients under RN supervision.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care; handle admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Document nursing care accurately in patient records and follow infection control procedures.
• Notify staff of changes in patient status and coordinate with the multidisciplinary team.
