Emergency Room - ER RN - Travel Nurse at TotalMed

We are looking for Emergency Room RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Asheville, NC. The right RN should have 1‑2 years recent acute care experience. The position requires acute care competency and excellent patient‑care skills in a fast‑paced, urgent environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, triage, and implement care following correct procedures and physician instructions.
• Perform minor medical operations and advise patients and families on illnesses or injuries.
• Document medical history, check allergies, obtain vital signs, and monitor patients' emotional and physical well‑being.
• Perform basic bedside care, clean and bandage wounds, provide IV therapy, maintain supplies and medical equipment.
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.

Requirements

• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIH, ENPC or equivalent certifications.
• 2 years of recent acute care experience.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift patients up to 20 lbs routinely and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Good stress‑coping skills and ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.
