Job summary

OU Health in Oklahoma City is seeking an experienced RN for the Adult Emergency Department (PRN Days). You will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting and document patient responses and treatments.

The role requires 1+ year RN experience, an active RN license (OK or multi-state compact), and BLS certification. OU Health offers comprehensive benefits including PTO, 401(k), medical and dental plans.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• 1+ years of experience in patient care as a Registered Nurse.
• Active RN license in OK or a current multi-state compact (eNLC).
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Align nursing practices with OU Health values and professional standards.
• Manage assignment for an individual patient or group of patients.
• Document patient responses and updates to physician orders.
• Assist physicians in examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.
• Monitor vital signs and intervene when needed.
• Administer medications as prescribed.
• Initiate, regulate and monitor IV infusions and blood products.
• Deliver patient care safely and competently.
• Delegate tasks to clinical support staff as needed.
