Job summary

Montclair Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department to deliver safe patient care using the nursing process in Telemetry. You will communicate with physicians about patient changes and guide patient/family teaching while maintaining professional standards.

The role requires an active RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS or ENPC, and ER experience. BSN and CEN preferred, with competitive, comprehensive benefits and a strong hospital team environment.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS certificate and maintain current.
• ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• PALS certificate and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; ER setting preferred.
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the Emergency Department.
• Direct patient care within the scope of practice and guide patient/family teaching.
• Communicate changes in patient condition with physicians and respond promptly to changes in condition.
