Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Boise, ID is seeking an Emergency Services Technician to respond to medical and safety emergencies, coordinate mitigation, and maintain equipment. The role includes conducting safety inspections and supporting safety initiatives.

The position requires EMT experience, an associate degree or equivalent, and the ability to work 12-hour shifts with rotating day/night schedules. Proficiency with SAP/Enablon and incident tracking is preferred, with strong documentation

Qualifications

• Associate degree in emergency services or related experience.
• 2+ years of EMT experience or equivalent.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts (3 on/4 off or 4 on/3 off) with shift changes every 4 months.
• Lift 25–40 pounds and stand up to 10 hours per shift.

Responsibilities

• Lead emergency response as ERT Captain, directing personnel during medical, chemical, gas, HAZMAT and rescue incidents.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols including PPE, LO/TO, and chemical handling procedures.
• Conduct safety audits, hazard checks, and support safety improvements.
• Apply and review Job Hazard Analyses; communicate updates and collaborate across teams to resolve safety and equipment issues.
• Manage and maintain emergency tools and equipment; document incidents and monitor safety trends.
• Support safety-related projects through data analysis and preventive maintenance; document and report activities using Microsoft Office tools.
