Emergency Response Team Specialist (Bilingual Spanish) - Trust and Safety

This global team operates 24/7, handling emergency requests from law enforcement and internal escalations to mitigate imminent risks to users on/off the platform, while safeguarding user privacy.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate risk, threats, and user privacy in time-critical emergency escalations.
  • Review high volumes of inbound emergency escalations from law enforcement, government agencies, and internal teams.
  • Make quick, independent decisions based on complex factors, including graphic content, while complying with laws and policies.
  • Coordinate with internal and external partners, including law enforcement, to ensure user safety.
  • Communicate responses to inquiries regarding emergency policies and procedures.
  • Utilize backend data systems to manage safety issues and improve response quality.
  • Prepare analytical and investigation reports.
  • Lead projects to improve systems, processes, and response quality.
  • Collaborate with global teams to address emerging risks and strategies.
  • Participate in weekend duties and adapt to alternative schedules.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor's degree with 2+ years in investigative or analytical roles, preferably in content safety, risk management, or emergency response.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Experience with social media, analytical tools, and online research.
  • Ability to assess threats, make high-stakes decisions, and work under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills for diverse stakeholders.
  • Quantitative analysis skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfort with graphic content related to safety issues.

Preferred:

  • Crisis management, government, or law enforcement experience.
  • SQL and data analytics skills.
  • Experience leading operational projects.
