Job summary

Catholic Relief Services seeks a Technical Advisor II for Emergency Response and Recovery, serving as the LACRO Regional Focal Point. Responsibilities

• Contribute to region and agency-wide strategies, standards, tools, and best practices in Emergency Response and Recovery; engage partners, donors, governments; ensure cross-sectoral gender, protection mainstreaming, and disaster risk reduction.
• Provide technical solutions to regional and CP teams, remotely and on-site, for strategic planning, program design, implementation standards, partnership principles, and M&E.
• Lead or act as Emergency Coordinator or Head of Office during field deployments; support emergency field offices, teams, and relief operations.
• Support growth opportunities in Emergency Response and Recovery; contribute to technical design for large/complex proposals with monitoring systems and indicators.
• Strengthen capacity of staff and partners via trainings, curricula, and coaching; develop learning strategies and knowledge sharing.
• Strengthen partnerships with local actors to improve technical quality and delivery.
• Contribute to knowledge management by analyzing data, reporting lessons learned, and sharing best practices; engage in donor forums and coordination meetings.
• Represent CRS at humanitarian cluster and donor meetings; promote CRS work and partner collaboration.
• Promote health and wellbeing of CRS and partner emergency staff.
