Job summary

AMR is immediately hiring a full-time Paramedic. Hourly rates start at $21.50 with DOE. Responsibilities include assessing calls, delivering advanced medical care with EMT/Paramedic equipment, and leading the scene when needed.

You will drive the ambulance on 911 responses, communicate with patients and families, and work with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality emergency medical services. A state paramedic license, valid driver’s license, and current certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Paramedic license is required.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Current BLS, ACLS and NREMT-Paramedic certifications.
• Ability to pass Physical Agility Test.
• Healthcare work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation and determine the best course of action using progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction devices and IV fluids to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and reassurance that care is being given.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow Paramedics.

MinimumRequired Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• State Paramedic License
• State Driver’s License
• BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic
• Driving record in compliance with company policy
• Pass Physical Agility Test
• Some work experience, preferable in healthcare
