Job summary

AMR is hiring a Paramedic for a full-time role in Dyer, TN. The position offers hourly pay starting at $21.50 with pay progression dependent on experience and DOE.

The Paramedic will deliver both basic and advanced patient care, operate ambulatory equipment, and lead scenes on 911 responses. Responsibilities include patient assessment, treatment with defibrillators, EKG monitoring, oxygen, suction, and IV therapy, and collaboration with healthcare and public safety teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• State Paramedic License required.
• State Driver’s License required.
• BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call to determine best action per Paramedic protocols.
• Provide advanced medical care using equipment like defibrillators and IV therapy.
• Communicate with patients and families to inform about care.
• Lead the Paramedic team and manage the scene and unit as needed.
• Respond to 911 calls driving the ambulance.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.

Responsibilities:

• Assess each call situation todeterminethe best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
• Act asParamedicteam leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner withall alliedhealth and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.

Other Responsibilities:

• Participate in community programs tomaintainAMR image andestablishstrong community relations.

MinimumRequired Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• State Paramedic License
• State Driver’s License
• BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic
• Driving record in compliance with company policy
• Pass Physical Agility Test
• Some work experience, preferable in healthcare
