Job summary

NC State University seeks a veterinary professional with extensive emergency/critical care experience to serve as a primary emergency clinician and to mentor house officers and senior veterinary students. The role emphasizes hands-on patient care and teaching responsibilities within the NC State Veterinary program.

The candidate must hold a DVM and be eligible for licensure in the state of North Carolina; the schedule is variable with shifts ranging 0-3 per month and 10-12 hour shifts,

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in emergency/critical care medicine.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis and up to 100 with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Emergency duties include being a primary emergency receiving clinician managing primary/referral emergency cases while mentoring and instructing house officers and senior veterinary students.
