Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC, is seeking staff for the Emergency Department to work full-time in a 36-hour weekly schedule. The role operates 7a-7p with weekend requirements, offering benefits eligibility and a comprehensive Total Rewards package.

Pay ranges from $20.80 to $31.20 per hour, with base compensation aligned to qualifications and experience. The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, BLS HCP, CPI within 90 days, and 2 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree or certification from the American Association of Psychiatric Technicians for teammates promoted after 2017 required.
• 2 years of experience required.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) from AHA required.
• CPI Certification required within 90 days of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Observes, reports, and documents signs, symptoms or changes in patient behavior to charge nurse.
• Interacts with patients therapeutically.
• Assists, initiates, and participates in social and recreational activities, group therapy, patient teaching groups, and other group activities.
• Makes rounds on assigned patients as ordered.
• Monitors patients in seclusion/restraints and documents observations.
• Participates in unit-based process improvement activities.
• Documents observations in the clinical record.
• All mandatory training as per facility policy.

Education

High School Diploma or GED
