Job summary

Bridgeport Hospital, part of Yale NewHaven Health, seeks an experienced Emergency Medicine physician to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced ED. You will stabilize critically ill patients, perform thorough assessments, document findings, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team across the hospital.

The role requires an MD/DO/MBBS with EM training, CT licensure, and active ACLS/ATLS/PALS credentials.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited medical school with MD/DO/MBBS and EM training.
• Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine or Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
• Connecticut MD licensure and DEA registration are required.

Responsibilities

• Rapid evaluation and stabilization of patients in the ED across all age groups.
• Complete history, examination, documentation, and timely communication with consultants.
• Effectively manage multiple patients per shift based on severity and need.
