Job summary

UF Health seeks an Emergency Paramedic to support the Emergency Department in Saint Augustine, FL. The role involves collecting patient history, assisting physicians and RNs, and ensuring basic patient care needs are met.

Responsibilities include lifesaving interventions, patient transport, phlebotomy, and IV access, with preference given to candidates with Paramedic experience and hospital exposure.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 0-1 year Paramedic experience preferred.
• Preference for Paramedic and Hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect and convey patient information to RN and physician.
• Assist with patient comfort, safety, and basic care activities.
• Initiate lifesaving measures as needed and assist with patient transport.
• Perform phlebotomy, basic lab procedures, EKGs, wound care, and IV access.
• Support patient flow in triage and during ED stay and other duties as assigned.
