Job summary
Enterprise Medical Recruiting is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join the Emergency Department of a 25-bed critical access hospital in central Maine. The role supports a collaborative team of emergency physicians, APPs, and staff, with LifeFlight access for rapid transfers and 24/7/365 shifts.
The hospital serves over 30,000 residents in a rural community, offering advanced monitoring in a modern ED and a broad scope of practice tailored to patient needs across ages.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current national certification as an FNP or ACNP.
- Eligible for or able to obtain an unrestricted Maine license.
- Current ACLS and PALS certifications.
Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages presenting with emergency medical conditions and injuries.
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Develop and implement treatment plans.
- Perform procedures appropriate to the emergency care setting.
- Stabilize and coordinate transfers to tertiary care facilities when needed.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, and consulting specialists.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Provide compassionate communication and education to patients and families.
