Job summary

MemorialCare Health System in Laguna Hills, CA is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Services department on the night shift. The RN will provide direct patient care, coordinate with the care team, and ensure safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires clinical proficiency, collaboration, and adherence to unit standards, with a focus on performance improvement and patient safety.

Qualifications

• One-year acute care experience in Emergency and/or Critical Care nursing preferred.
• Electronic Medical Record experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses health care needs.
• Follows a data collection process that is systematic and involves patient/family.
• Analyzes the assessment data to determine diagnosis and plan of care.
• Develops and contributes to a written plan of care.
• Implements the plan of care to attain outcomes.
• Evaluates the patient’s outcomes.
• Evaluates quality and safety in planning and delivering patient care.
• Identifies and reports patient issues to appropriate resources.
• Addresses age-specific needs: adolescent, adult, and geriatric.
• Competently utilizes EMR systems.
