Qualifications

• Option I requires one year as Assistant Mental Health Counselor, RN in LA County.
• Option II requires a Bachelor's in Nursing with psychiatric nursing coursework and two years of post-baccalaureate psychiatric nursing experience.
• Option III requires a Master's in Psychiatric Nursing and one year of post-graduate psychiatric nursing experience.
• Active California RN license without limitations.
• Valid California Class C Driver License or ability to use alternative transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual counseling to a caseload of patients in the Mental Health Clinic.
• Conduct initial interview and ongoing assessment of client problems and functioning.
• In collaboration with the treatment team, plan and adjust the Client Care Coordination Plan.
• Administer psychotropic medications, monitor effects and educate clients and families.
• Attend team meetings and coordinate with community agencies to support recovery.
