Job summary

Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, VA seeks an experienced Program Director to establish an Emergency Medicine residency beginning with the 2026 cycle. The role combines direct patient care, leadership, teaching, and admin duties to build a compliant, funded program.

The candidate will design the curriculum, recruit and evaluate residents, and partner with the Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine to ensure alignment with ACGME and NRMP standards.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with Virginia license.
• 3 years as core faculty in an ACGME‑accredited EM program.

Responsibilities

• Develop the residency program curriculum and policies.
• Recruit, select, supervise and evaluate residents.
• Ensure compliance with ACGME, CLER and NRMP requirements.
• Provide GME leadership in partnership with VA COM.
