Job Summary:

Mission Health is seeking an Emergency Medicine Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary behavioral health team in Asheville, North Carolina.

Qualified Candidates:

• Board certified or board eligible
• Experience with co-occurring conditions such as trauma spectrum, eating disorders, and substance use disorders
• Willing to work in an inpatient setting
• Provide Collaborative Care Management (CoCM) consultation with primary care clinicians
• Please note that this position does not offer visa support

About Mission Health’s Behavioral Health Services:

• 120-bed freestanding psychiatric hospital, Sweeten Creek, opened in 2023
• 23-bed emergency department psychiatric evaluation area and 10-bed behavioral health pod in the new Mission Hospital emergency department
• Consultation on pediatrics service and in the emergency department
• Active ECT program
• Involvement in teaching and supervision through the new residency training program via MAHEC, with potential academic appointment
