Job summary

Avera St. Luke's Hospital is seeking a qualified physician to provide direct medical evaluation, diagnosis, procedures, and care within a defined practice area.

The role emphasizes collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver compassionate, high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, interpreting findings, educating patients and families, maintaining records, and ensuring safety and compliance with healthcare standards.

Qualifications

• Medical Doctor licensed to practice in the service state (or board eligible) or Doctor of Osteopathy with similar licensing.
• US federal and state DEA license required or to be obtained upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, diagnoses, and treats patients according to medical staff approved protocol and standards.
• Provides medical services and health education to patients and families.
• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and interprets diagnostic information to formulate care plans.
• Maintains patient records accurately and ensures environment of care and safety standards.
• collaborates with the care team for consultations and appropriate referrals.
• Upholds confidentiality and adheres to safety, CMS, Joint Commission, OSHA requirements.

Medical Doctor - Board of Medicine Licensed or board eligible

Doctor of Osteopathy - Board of Medicine Licensed or board eligible
