Job description

In the role of a Physician for the concierge house calls team, you will conduct at-home medical visits for Sollis Health patients and provide appropriate treatment. This pivotal role supports a growing organization dedicated to delivering seamless care to both adult and pediatric patients for cases typically managed in emergency rooms or clinics. You will offer a variety of treatments during house calls, reducing the need for patients to visit emergency departments, and providing care directly in their homes. This position will primarily focus on the LA area.

Compensation

House Call Piece Rate - $1,000 per house call - Hamptons

Responsibilities

1. Formulate differential diagnoses and treatment plans for urgent and emergent care outside of traditional medical settings within the scope of emergency medicine.
2. Coordinate with the LA operations team to respond promptly to house call requests during shifts.
3. Perform medical evaluations, utilizing imaging studies conducted at patients' homes.
4. Ensure the house call provider bag is properly stocked at all times to avoid delays.
5. Obtain clinical samples such as blood, urine, or pharyngeal swabs for diagnostic testing.
6. Perform medical procedures including IV access, phlebotomy, POC rapid tests, administering IV medications and fluids, and performing EKGs.
7. Document clinical evaluations and treatments in the electronic health record, Athena Health.
8. Provide patient education and clinical guidance in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
9. Answer patient questions patiently and professionally, employing patient-centered empathetic communication.
10. Partner with the patient's PCP and specialists for assessment discussions and follow-up care coordination.
11. Collaborate with the Medical Director and clinical team to ensure policy adherence and quality care delivery.
12. Coordinate additional care with the After Care team, beyond house calls, including center visits or with Medical Partners.
13. Perform related duties as requested.

Experience & Qualifications

We value diverse backgrounds, but ideally, candidates will have:

• A Medical Degree from an accredited university
• A valid physician license to practice in New York
• ABEM board certification or eligibility
• At least 3 years of experience in emergency departments and/or urgent care centers
• A DEA license
• Experience in concierge, house call, EMS, or prehospital care is a plus
• Excellent clinical care skills and a focus on patient satisfaction in emergency and urgent care settings

Additional Information

Compensation ranges from $180-$200 per hour during shifts and $1,000 per house call outside shifts. Pay varies based on experience, location, education, and other factors. This rate applies to New York candidates; rates may differ in other states.
