Job description

A facility is seeking an emergency medicine physician for locum tenens coverage.
Rhinebeck is an historic little town nestled in the
Northern New York Hudson Valley region that takes
pride in its majestic views of the Catskill Mountains,
Hudson River and more. With a Dutch past, scenic
beauty, and accessibility to New York City, the
Berkshires, and Connecticut, the village boasts threelined streets and very unique specialty shops. A mecca
for art and culture, Rhinebeck offers visual and
performing arts from dance to independent films. With
its fine dining, casual bistros, charming bed and
breakfast inns, and exquisite hotels, Rhinebeck has
been touted as one of the best gourmet towns in
America.
This Emergency Medicine practice sees an annual volume of 27,619 patients and operates with 24 hours of daily physician coverage and 10 hours of daily APC coverage. The facility has 42 hospital beds, 10 ED beds, and no fast track, with a medium acuity level and a 14% admission rate. It is not a designated trauma center and does not have a hospital medicine program. Providers must be board certified or eligible in EM, FP, or IM and hold PALS certification. A wide range of backup specialties is available, including cardiology, general surgery, neurology, OB/GYN, orthopedics, and more.
