Job summary

TeamHealth seeks an emergency medicine physician for UT Health – Quitman ED in Quitman, TX. The 11-bed ED uses EPIC and CLEO dictation to support real-time patient care, with 24-hour physician coverage and flexible shifts. Board eligibility/certification in EM plus ACLS/PALS/ATLAS, TX license and DEA required. TeamHealth provides tail coverage, CME hours, and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Board certified or board prepared in emergency medicine.
• ACLS, PALS, and ATLAS certifications required or in process.
• Texas medical license and DEA registration (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency medical care in a fast-paced ED.
• Participate in 24-hour physician coverage with 12- or 24-hour shifts.
• Maintain accurate documentation and collaboration with the medical team.

• 11-bed ED
• EMR: EPIC
• CLEO dictation for efficient, accurate clinical documentation, reducing administrative responsibility and supporting real-time patient care
• 24 hours of physician coverage; 12- and 24-hour shifts available

Position Requirements

• Board prepared or board certified in emergency medicine through American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM), American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM)
• Will also consider those boarded in the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM), American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM), or American Osteopathic Board of Family Medicine (AOBFM) with EM experience
• Current ACLS, PALS, and ATLAS certifications
• Texas medical license and DEA or ability to obtain prior to start date
