Job summary

Sollis Health is seeking a physician to provide concierge emergency medical care in our clinics in New York. The role supports adult and pediatric patients with conditions that would be treated in an ER, with shifts 7am-3pm and 3pm-11pm plus weekend coverage.

You will perform evaluations, establish diagnoses, lead a clinical team of PAs and nurses, manage Covid-related cases, document in Athena Health, and collaborate with the Medical Director to uphold quality care.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree from an Accredited University.
• NY state license and ability to practice in New York.
• Completion of an Emergency Medicine residency and EM board certification.
• 2+ years experience as a physician in the emergency department or urgent care after residency.
• DEA license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform medical evaluations and formulating a differential diagnosis and treatment plan for urgent and emergent care within the scope of emergency medicine.
• Perform medical procedures including IV access, phlebotomy, IV medications and IV fluids, and EKGs.
• Lead the medical management of patients by coordinating with PAs, nurses, and technicians.
• Assess and treat Covid-related cases including testing and symptom management.
• Document clinical evaluations and treatments in Athena Health EHR.
• Collaborate with Medical Director to ensure policy adherence and quality care.
• Coordinate additional care with After Care and house calls teams or Medical Partners.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered communication with patients and families.
• Contribute to team by handling related operational projects.
• Perform related duties as requested.

Job description

In the role of a Physician you will provide concierge emergency medical care to Sollis Health patients in our clinics. This is a pivotal role as part of a growing organization providing seamless care to both adult and pediatric patients for cases that would usually be treated in a traditional emergency room.
Full Time - 32 hours/Week - 7am - 3pm, 3pm - 11pm + Weekend Coverage

Responsibilities

• Perform medical evaluations and formulating a differential diagnosis and treatment plan for urgent and emergent care within the scope of emergency medicine.


• Perform medical procedures that include but are not limited to obtaining IV access, phlebotomy, administering IV medications and IV fluids, and performing EKGs.


• Lead the medical management of the patients in our clinics by working closely with a team of PAs, nurses, and technicians to discuss your assessment.


• Assess and treat Covid-related cases which includes obtaining clinical samples to test for the virus, performing point of care testing , obtaining blood for antibody blood tests, providing general symptom management and recommendations.


• Document your clinical evaluation and treatment in the electronic health record, Athena Health.


• Working closely with the Medical Director and other clinical team members to ensure all policies are adhered to and that you deliver quality care in an innovative setting.


• Coordinating additional care with our After Care, and house calls teams or with one of our Medical Partners.


• Make patients and family members comfortable, patiently and professionally answering any questions they have and using patient-centered empathetic communication at all times.


• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related operational projects as needed.


• Perform related duties as requested.

Experience

• Medical Degree from an Accredited University.


• Physician state license and ability to practice in the state of New York.


• Completion of an Emergency Medicine residency and emergency medicine board certification required.


• 2+ years experience as a physician in the emergency department and/or urgent care center after your residency required.


• DEA license required.

Skills

• Strong clinical skills.


• Tech savvy with the ability to use and or learn our systems including but not limited to Slack, Athena Health, Salesforce and Humanity etc.


• Superb technical skills, including phlebotomy, peripheral IV placement, medication administration.


• Excellent bedside manner.


• Comfortable with the emergency department and urgent care patients.


• Ability to be adaptable and work in a fluid, multitasking environment.


• Strong process and organizational skills.


• The ability to problem-solve and think outside of the box.

Compensation

Range: $185-$195 per hour

This is the range of pay for New York candidates only. Sollis is a multi-state employer and this rate/range may not reflect the pay for positions that are performed solely in localities outside of New York. Furthermore, actual pay is dependent on several factors that may include but is not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, location, education, etc.
