Job summary

gobravvo is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician (EM MD/DO) to join a full-service critical access hospital in Louisiana. The role includes strong APP coverage, Epic EMR, and opportunities for professional growth within a mission-driven community hospital.

The candidate should be board-eligible or board-certified in EM, FM, or IM, hold an active license, and be capable of supervising NP/PA providers. IMLC-approved physicians are encouraged to apply, with CME support and comprehensive

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree with completed residency in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in EM, FM, or IM
• Active, unrestricted state medical license
• Active DEA registration with state address
• State-controlled substance registration, if required
• Ability to supervise NP/PA providers
• Current-season flu vaccination and COVID vaccination
• TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
• CME documentation and case logs from prior two years
• Required sedation modules completed during onboarding and reappointment
• Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, ATLS, BLS (if not EM boarded)

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive emergency medical care to patients with acute conditions
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and APPs to ensure high-quality outcomes
• Supervise NP/PA providers in the ED
• Utilize Epic EMR to document encounters and manage clinical information
• Participate in ongoing CME and trauma/stroke education
• Adhere to hospital policies and credentialing requirements
• Engage in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
