Job summary

Berkshire Health Systems seeks an Emergency Medicine physician to join North Adams Regional Hospital in North Adams, MA. The department operates three 12-hour physician shifts daily and includes daily APP coverage with minimal call burden.

Our ED handles ~18,000 annual visits with full clinical and transfer support, including regional partnerships and in-house anesthesia coverage on weekdays. Enjoy a collaborative, autonomous community hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Practice emergency medicine in a critical access hospital setting.
• Collaborate with strong clinical partnerships to connect patients with appropriate care.

Responsibilities

• The ED is staffed with three 12-hour physician shifts daily: 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.; 12:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m.; 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
• Call obligations are minimal and supplemented by daily APP coverage.
• In-house anesthesia coverage Monday–Friday 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. with hospitalist support.
• Collaborate with regional and tertiary centers for transfers as needed.
