Boston Medical Center - South (BMC-South) is seeking a full-time physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join their emergency team. This is a wonderful opportunity to join a stable collegial staff of Emergency Medicine Physicians and Advanced Practitioners who provide care to approximately 65,000 patients annually.

Responsibilities:


  • Detailed Patient Histories: Obtain comprehensive patient histories, meticulously documenting medical, social, and family backgrounds to inform accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.

  • Thorough Physical Examinations: Perform comprehensive physical examinations to evaluate patients for admission, utilizing advanced clinical skills to identify and assess medical conditions.

    Emergency Care Expertise: Deliver expert care in emergency situations, managing patients with varying levels of acuity, from minor injuries to life-threatening conditions, ensuring timely and effective interventions.

    Expert Diagnostic and Therapeutic Procedures: Execute bedside diagnostic and therapeutic procedures with precision, ensuring optimal patient care.

    Efficient Coordination of Tests and Consultations: Coordinate and facilitate diagnostic tests and specialist consultations, ensuring seamless integration of services for timely and effective patient management.

    Implementation of Treatment Plans: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, maintaining clear and effective communication with referring and consulting physicians to ensure cohesive patient care.

Qualifications:


  • A minimum of 1 year experience in Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care is required.

  • A Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies, National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants is required or master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner's Program.

  • Current Massachusetts license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant preferred.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively alongside our emergency physicians and Emergency Medicine residents.
