AMN Healthcare is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for locum tenens support in Georgia. The role includes 11-hour shifts with robust APP coverage and an Expanse EMR, ensuring continuous high-quality emergency care.

The candidate must hold ABEM certification (or board eligible), a Georgia medical license, and BLS/DEA. Malpractice insurance and travel/logistics support are provided by AMN Healthcare.

Qualifications

• Board Eligible/Board Certified Emergency Medicine (ABEM) is required.
• Active Georgia Medical License is required.
• DEA license is required.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsabilités

• Provide ED coverage with 11-hour shifts (6am-5pm, 11am-10pm, 7pm-6am).
• Coordinate with NP/PA coverage (30 hours daily) and ER staff.
• Maintain ABEM/BLS/DEA credentials and GA licensure.
• Utilize Expanse EMR for patient documentation.

• Annual volume: Approximately 31,000-35,000 visits annually
• Physician shift times: 11-hour shifts: 6 am-5 pm, 11 am- 10 pm, 7 pm- 6 am
• NP/PA Coverage: Yes - 30 hours of APP coverage daily; 10-hour shifts
• Back-up specialties available: Normal Emergency Room support staff
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Expanse
• Certifications required: Board Eligible/Board Certified Emergency Medicine (ABEM), Basic Life Support (BLS), Drug Enforcement Administration License (DEA), Active Georgia Medical License.
