The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and UPMC Children's Hospital is recruiting for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor outside the tenure stream in the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine in Pittsburgh, PA. The candidate must have completed a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship program and be Board Certified/Eligible in Pediatric Emergency Medicine. An MD or equivalent is required, with the ability to obtain an unrestricted PA license. H1B visa sponsorship is available.
Opportunity Details
- Join a division with 38 pediatric emergency medicine faculty, 3 general pediatricians, and thirty advanced practice providers.
- Participate in an outstanding pediatric emergency medicine fellowship training program, including nine fellows.
- Schedule involves 13 shifts per month with rotating days, nights, and weekends.
- Clinical academic appointment with 80% clinical and 20% teaching/administrative responsibilities.
- Faculty responsibilities include patient care, education of house staff and students, and academic pursuits.
- Teach pediatric emergency medicine fellows, pediatric residents from UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, emergency medicine residents from the University of Pittsburgh, and visiting residents from family medicine and emergency medicine programs.
- All faculty members have scholarly interests, with a strong history of academic productivity and mentorship.
