Emergency Medicine Physician at Emergency Care Partners

Summary:

We are seeking a Board-Certified / Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician to join Illinois Emergency Medicine Specialists (IEMS) for a full-time role, covering at least 120 hours per month. The position involves providing emergency medicine services at multiple sites affiliated with UChicago Medicine AdventHealth, offering 24/7 coverage and a competitive compensation package. Successful candidates will work alongside a dedicated team in trauma level II designated facilities with excellent specialty backup and supportive staff.

Opportunity:

Join IEMS as a Board-Certified / Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician. The schedule includes at least 120 hours per month, with consideration for moonlighters. We offer a competitive hourly rate with RVU incentives, paid medical malpractice, and potential partnership.

Emergency Department Locations:

IEMS provides emergency services at four UChicago Medicine AdventHealth locations: Glen Oaks Medical Center, Hinsdale Medical Center, La Grange Medical Center, and Bolingbrook Medical Center. All sites operate 24/7/365, staffed with board-certified emergency physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants. They are trauma level II, utilize Cerner EMR, and have excellent backup and staff support. In 2022, we expanded to include Resilience HealthCare sites at Weiss Memorial Hospital and West Suburban Medical Center in downtown Chicago.

Emergency Department Statistics:

• West Suburban Medical Center: 51,000 visits annually, 8-10 hour shifts, Level III Geriatric Trauma, Certified Chest Pain and Primary Stroke Center, onsite residency programs, 20 ED beds, 17,000 ED volume annually, Cerner EMR.

West Suburban Medical Center is a 334-bed hospital in Oak Park, serving the community for over 100 years, located 9 miles from downtown Chicago. It offers comprehensive healthcare services, including women's OB, cancer care, dermatology, and more. In Dec. 2022, Resilience Healthcare acquired West Suburban, Weiss Memorial Hospital, and River Forest Medical Campus, ensuring their continued operation and community service.

Weiss Memorial Hospital is a 236-bed, Joint Commission-accredited facility with over 450 doctors and 800 staff, serving Chicago’s North Side for over 60 years. It is a university-affiliated community hospital with various residency and fellowship programs.
