Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for locum tenens coverage in Morgan City, LA. Start ASAP with shifts 6a-6p and 6p-6a, handling about 28,000 annual patients, with NP/PA coverage roughly 16 hours. Certifications ACLS, ATLS, PALS, and BLS are required; EMR TBD.

AMN arranges malpractice insurance and handles travel, lodging, and transportation. Competitive pay is offered. This assignment is physician-only with ongoing support from AMN Healthcare to ensure smooth operations

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medicine coverage during shifts, 6a–6p and 6p–6a.
• Manage an annual patient volume around 28,000 with available NP/PA coverage.
• Adhere to local policies and coordinate with hospital staff for patient care.

This facility is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

• Annual volume: 28,000 patients per year
• Physician shift times: 6a-6p/6p-6a
• NP/PA Coverage: (if 'Yes', shift times or amount of hours of coverage) Yes, approximately 16 hours
• Back up specialties available: To be determined
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): TO be determined
• Certifications required: (ATLS, ACLS, BLS, PALS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
