U.S. Army 2nd Medical Recruiting Battalion seeks an Emergency Medicine Physician to join the Army Reserve health care team and provide high-level emergency care in the community for Soldiers and their families.

The role combines clinical practice with military service as an officer, offering opportunities to work with leading specialists and participate in humanitarian missions and diverse patient care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited U.S. school; license to practice in the U.S., DC or PR.
• Eligibility for board certification in emergency medicine.
• Completion of at least one year of ACGME internship; training in emergency medicine.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medicine care to a diverse patient population including Soldiers and their families.
• Serve as an officer on the U.S. Army Reserve health care team and practice in the community when called.

Requirements include:

• Doctor of medicine or doctor of osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school of medicine or osteopathy; foreign graduates may apply if they have a permanent certificate from the Educational Council of Foreign Medical Graduates
• Current license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico
• Eligibility for board certification
• Completion of at least one year of an approved Graduate Medical Education (GME) internship
• Completion of a training program in emergency medicine
• Between 21 and 42 years of age
• Permanent U.S. residency
