The U.S. Army Reserve is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician to join the Medical Corps as an officer. You will practice in your community, treating a diverse patient population including Soldiers and their families, with colleagues who are leaders in their fields.

This position emphasizes serving when needed, ongoing professional development, and the unique privilege of serving as part of the U.S. Army Reserve health care team.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from a US medical school; foreign grads may apply with ECFMG certificate.
• Current US medical license; eligibility for board certification.
• Completion of at least 1 year of accredited GME internship and EM training.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Emergency Medicine physician and officer on the Army Reserve health care team.
• Tackle unique cases in the community and care for Soldiers and families.

Requirements include:

• Doctor of medicine or doctor of osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school of medicine or osteopathy; foreign graduates may apply if they have a permanent certificate from the Educational Council of Foreign Medical Graduates
• Current license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico
• Eligibility for board certification
• Completion of at least one year of an approved Graduate Medical Education (GME) internship
• Completion of a training program in emergency medicine
• Between 21 and 42 years of age
• Permanent U.S. residency
