A prominent healthcare facility providing a wide range of medical services, including emergency care, surgical services, and specialized treatments.

Opportunity

• Seeking a Locum Emergency Medicine physician to provide coverage from January 2025 to June 2025.
• Shift(s) Description: Five shifts: 6am-4pm, 10am-8pm, 12pm-10pm, 4pm-2am, 8pm-6am, Monday-Friday; Four shifts on Saturday/Sunday: 6am-4pm, 10am-8pm, 4pm-2am, 8pm-6am.
• Patients per day: 110.
• Staff Support: Full nursing staff, 12 hours of APP coverage daily.
• Current EHR in use: Cerner.
• Number of beds: 42.
• 70% of total admissions received from ED.
• 22% of ED patients admitted to the hospital per day.
• Trauma Level: 3.
• Annual ER Volume: 40,000.
• Fast track in ED: Yes, staffed by APP.
• 15% of total ED volume treated by Fast Track.
• Locum will be required to supervise other healthcare providers: APP and residents.
• ED staff does not respond to house codes.
• Hospitalist writes admission orders.
• Procedures/Skills Required: Family Medicine Procedures/Skills including adult outpatient, pediatric outpatient, newborn resuscitation, orthopedic non-displaced fractures, suturing minor lacerations, incision & drainage, psychiatric care for adult, child/adolescent, and geriatric patients, management of common industrial-related medical problems, ventilation management, evaluation & management of acute volume/BP issues, central line placement, arterial line, EKG interpretation, arthrocentesis, lumbar puncture, paracentesis, and emergency medicine-related procedures.
