AMN Healthcare is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for locum tenens support to meet an immediate need in the Kansas City area, Missouri. The role involves coverage at main hospital and free-standing locations, with day and night shifts and weekend availability.

Starting ASAP, typical shifts are 7a-7p and 7p-7a, with compensation at $266.75-$288.75 per hour. Malpractice insurance and travel/lodging logistics are coordinated by AMN Healthcare for contractor providers.

Qualifications

• Board certification in Emergency Medicine.
• Active Missouri medical license and DEA license.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS required; ATLS acceptable one-time.

Responsibilities

• Provide Emergency Medicine coverage at hospital and free-standing sites.
• Work day, night and weekend shifts; float between locations.
• Participate in trauma and critical care procedures as needed.

• Annual volume: 60,000 at hospital emergency dept. Varies as free standing locations
• Physician shift times: 7a-7p, 7p-7a. Must be willing to work days, nights and weekends. Will float between main hospital and free standing locations.
• Advance Practice coverage: To be determined
• Back up specialties available: All except Pediatrics
• Electronic Medical Record: To be determined
• Certifications required: Board certification, active Missouri license, Drug Enforcement Administration license, Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support (ok as long as taken one time)
