Job summary

Adelphi Medical Staffing is seeking a Board-certified/eligible Emergency Medicine physician for a Locum Tenens position in Johnson City, TN. The role requires residency training in EM and an active Tennessee license with DEA. Coverage is available ASAP and ongoing, with 9- and 10-hour shifts.

Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are provided. Join a team with EPIC EMR, 80-bed department, and APP support for around-the-clock coverage.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Emergency Medicine.
• Residency trained in Emergency Medicine.
• Active TN Medical license and DEA with TN address (Schedules II–V).
• Active DEA and CDS required (Schedules II–V).
• ACLS, ATLS, PALS; NRP for non-ABEM providers.
• Case logs from past 2 years and ECFMG for foreign graduates.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients.
• Supervise nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
• Maintain 24-hour physician coverage as per model.
• Perform procedures consistent with emergency medicine privileges.
• Maintain board certification, licenses, and required continuing education.
