Job description

Locums - Independence, Missouri, Emergency Medicine Opening

Clinical Role:

• ASAP
• Duration: 3 Months
• Shift options: 6a-4p, 9a-7p, 12p-10p, 3p-1a, 7p-5a, 9p-7a
• Locum need is for the equivalent of 2 FTEs
• Flexibility required to work days, nights, and weekends
• All standard ER procedures
• Preference for providers open to working at the main hospital and affiliated FSERs
• Main hospital shifts may be less than 12 hours; affiliated FSEDs require 12-hour shifts
• Level II Trauma Center - coverage includes plastics/hand (some), neuro IR, Peds
• Average Patient Census: 170
• Common Cases: Trauma (mainly blunt), diverse patient types
• Annual ER admissions: 24%
• Robots Used: Neurology, Psychiatric
• Must be BC in ABEM or AOBEM
• Certifications: ATLS (one-time), ACLS, PALS
