Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for locum tenens coverage in Hanover, PA. Shifts include 7a-3p, 11a-8p, 3p-12a, and 10p-7a, with 1-2 APPs per shift until 4a, then the physician is on alone 4a-7a.

Board-certified or board-eligible physicians with ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications are required, and EPIC EMR experience is preferred. AMN provides malpractice insurance and handles travel, lodging, and transportation needs.

Qualifications

• ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications are required.
• Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine is required.
• Experience in EM and high-volume ED settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide Emergency Medicine coverage for locum tenens assignments in the ED.
• Cover shifts including 7a-3p, 11a-8p, 3p-12a, and 10p-7a as scheduled.
• Coordinate with 1-2 APPs per shift; physician coverage alone from 4a-7a.

• Annual Volume: 31,000
• Physician Shift Times: 7a-3p, 11a-8p, 3p-12a, 10p-7a
• NP/PA Coverage: 1-2 Advanced Practice Providers (APP) Per Shift Until 4a Then Physician Will Be Alone 4a-7a
• Backup Specialties Available: Yes
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Epic
• Certifications Required: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Board Certified or Board Eligible
