Facility in Everett, PA seeking EM locums coverage Rates: $325/hr Position Overview

• Start Date: May 19, 2025
• Reason for Opening: Coverage Need
• Credential Requirements: DO or MD
• Licensure: Pennsylvania License Required
• Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS, CPR, PALS, Stroke Certification
• Minimum Experience: Two years in Emergency Medicine
• EMR System: Cerner

Coverage Details

• Shifts: 12-hour shifts (7 AM 7 PM or 7 PM 7 AM)
• Monthly Shift Requirement: Five shifts per month
• Additional Shifts: May need to cover mid-level shifts if no APP coverage is available
• Patient Volume:
  • Annual ED Volume: 19,000
  • Average Volume Per 24 Hours: 51 patients
  • 24-hour physician coverage with 12-hour APP coverage daily
• Responsibilities:
  • See a full range of patients, from pediatric to geriatric, including acute and emergent cases
  • Procedures may include intubations, chest tubes, central lines, joint and fracture reductions, joint aspirations, laceration repair, and I&D
  • No vent management required
  • Work alongside APPs and sign off on their cases
  • Admissions coordinated through hospitalists and specialty groups
