American Army Reserve medical positions are described here. Emergency physicians serve in the U.S. Army Reserve health care team, delivering care to Soldiers and their families across diverse communities.

Requirements include an MD or DO from an accredited U.S. school, current medical license in the U.S., board eligibility, and completion of GME in emergency medicine, with permanent residency and age 21–42. Numerous roles are available worldwide.

Qualifications

• Doctor of medicine or doctor of osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school of medicine or osteopathy; foreign graduates may apply if they have a permanent certificate from the Educational Council of Foreign Medical Graduates
• Current license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico
• Eligibility for board certification
• Completion of at least one year of an approved Graduate Medical Education (GME) internship
• Completion of a training program in emergency medicine
• Between 21 and 42 years of age
• Permanent U.S. residency

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medical care to Soldiers and their families in diverse settings.
• Coordinate with Army Reserve medical teams to deliver high-quality care.
