Job summary
A leading healthcare provider is seeking locum providers for emergency medicine coverage in Belton, Missouri. Candidates must be flexible with their schedules and hold an active Missouri medical license. Responsibilities include standard emergency procedures, with a patient census averaging 81. Ideal providers will have the necessary certifications and prefer local candidates willing to maintain state DEA for privileges.
Qualifications
- Provider must maintain DEA in state.
- Flexibility for days, nights, weekends required.
- Eligible if living more than 50 miles from the facility.
Responsibilities
- Work at main hospital and affiliated FSERs.
- Perform standard ER procedures without pediatrics, plastics, neuro IR, or OB.
- Manage higher population of Level 4 and 5 patients.

Coverage Needed:
- As soon as credentialed - ongoing
- Must be flexible to work days, nights and weekends
- Main hospital campus may consider less than 12hr shifts, affiliated FSED's require 12hr shifts
- Shift times: 7a-5p, 1p-11p, 9p-7a or 7p-7a, 7a-7p
Clinical Information:
- Preference is for locum providers to be open to working at main hospital as well as affiliated FSER's
- All standard ER procedures
- No peds, no plastics, no neuro IR, NO cath lab, NO OB
- Average patient census: 81
- Common cases: Higher population of Level 4 and 5 patients. Do get sick patients which require intubation, central lines (have an ICU)
- Annual ER admissions: 12%
- Neurology, Psychiatric
Required:
- DEA must remain in state to maintain privileges. Provider must be willing transfer and maintain DEA in state for the duration of privileges being active, or obtain a new in state DEA to remain in state for the duration of privileges being active
- Board Requirements:
- BC/BE EM
- BC FM or IM with EM experience
- American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine
- Active MO License
- ATLS, ACLS, PALS
- Providers living inside of 50 miles from the facility will be considered "Local", and will not be eligible for this role
